victims
Many women suffer from domestic abuse, sexual violence, and human trafficking, often at the hands of people they trust. Children, especially young girls, are vulnerable to sexual abuse, exploitation, and neglect, leaving lasting emotional and psychological scars. These victims endure fear, trauma, and injustice, emphasizing the urgent need for protection, awareness, and stronger actions to end violence against them.
What constitutes violence against women and children?
Physical Abuse
Intentional use of force that causes injury, pain, or harm to another person. This includes hitting, slapping, kicking, choking, or any act that results in physical harm, often used to control or intimidate victims.
Sexual Violence
Unwanted sexual act, coercion, or exploitation, including rape, harassment, assault, and child exploitation. It violates a person's dignity, safety, and rights, often causing lasting physical and emotional trauma.
Emotional & psychological abuse
Behaviors that harm a person’s self-esteem, mental health, and sense of security. This includes threats, manipulation, humiliation, constant criticism, and controlling behavior, leading to long-term emotional distress and trauma.
neglect and child abuse
Failure to provide a child with basic needs such as food, shelter, healthcare, and emotional support, or subjecting them to physical, emotional, or sexual harm. This mistreatment can have severe, lasting effects on a child’s development and well-being.
Empower, educate, end abuse
Strengthen voices, spread awareness, and take a stand to break the cycle of abuse. Through empowerment and education, we can create a future, free from violence.
